IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles H
Larsen
March 12, 1948 – January 19, 2026
Charles Hampton Larsen, born Charles Hampton McDowell Hopkins was born March 12, 1948 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Imogene Hopkins. Those who knew and loved him knew him simply as “Crazy Charlie”.
Charlie was raised in a military home, therefore, he moved around often. From the great U.S of A all the way to Germany, he has been around the world. As a young adult, Charlie found a profound love for motorcycles. Anytime he had a spare moment, you could find him riding with those who shared the same love, he called them “Brothers”. Charlie got into his fair share of shenanigans, but one thing was for certain, he was loyal. His passions, besides riding all over the country, included photography, anything that included computers, he was quite the computer nerd and making YouTube videos. Charlie will be greatly missed.
Charlie leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Pam of Newell SD, Adopted son, John (Shannon) McElwain of Sturgis, Step children Michael Moore of Newell SD and Brianna Smith of Casper WY. One brother, Robert Larsen of Casper WY. One Niece Julie Webb of Casper WY and one Nephew Paul DePonzi of Colorado. His dog, Einstein and cat Molly.
Charlie is proceeded in death by his grandparents Albert and Ida Hopkins. His mother Imogene Larsen and his sister Mary Spackman.
