Charlotte Arleen Aalseth passed away Monday, January 5, 2009, at her home in Sturgis.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating.

Charlotte was born Charlotte Arleen Fetter on June 22, 1938, in Gordon, NE. Her parents were Lee and Alvina Fetter. Charlotte grew up near Martin, SD. She attened Black Hills State Teaching College in Spearfish, SD, earned her teaching credentials, and taught elementary school in Western South Dakota for 12 years. She married Sidney Aalseth on May 11, 1963. They had a son, Craig, in 1969.

She is survived by her husband, Sidney Aalseth, Sturgis; her son, Craig Aalseth, Richland, WA; and two brothers, Bill Fetter, Rowlett, TX, and Melvin Fetter, Mexia, TX.
