Obituary

Chase was born July 6, 1985, in Gillette, WY, to Monty Clark and Sonja Herren-Clark. He lived in Gillette until he was 2 years old when his family moved to Aladdin, WY. Chase attended Sundance Elementary School, Sheridan Junior High School, and graduated from the Bear Lodge High School in Sundance, WY, class of 2003. While growing up, he enjoyed football, wrestling, fishing with his family, checking traps with his Dad, but more than anything, Chase enjoyed playing Nintendo. His love for video games led to a passion for computer coding, website design, and the development of his own online games; "MagiKnights" and "King of Kings Dynasty."

In 2004, Chase moved to Washington where he designed, developed, and maintained websites for numerous clients including Humanity Unites Brilliance, a non-profit organization fighting to end the cycle of poverty and starvation.

His proudest accomplishment while in Washington was the birth of his daughter, Kailey Rose Clark, who is now 10 years old.

In the summer of 2014, Chase came back to the Black Hills to be closer to his family and help his mother get settled onto her property. He spent countless hours playing basketball, football, board games, and whatever else his best bud and nephew, James Clark, wanted to play. While living here and working with his father, Chase became a skilled carpenter and worked for various construction companies.

Chase, 32, of Whitewood, SD, passed away in the Lippold Hospice Suite at Sturgis Regional Hospital on December 13, 2017.

Chase is survived by his daughter, Kailey Rose Clark; father, Monty Clark; mother, Sonja Herren-Clark; sisters, Shannon Stewart and Jamie Clark; and brothers, Derrik Zebroski and Triton Barden.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Young.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Hale Hall in Whitewood, SD.
