Cheryl was born September 20, 1959, to Earl and Evelyn (Van Cleave) Cochran in Deadwood, SD.

Cheryl was passionate about life, and lived it to the absolute fullest. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and beloved Bulldogs. Cheryl was strong willed and always stood up for what she believed in. Her strength, courage, and spirit were apparent. She had a beautiful smile and an unforgettable laugh that will forever be engrained in our hearts. Cheryl was a warrior in life, and left this earth fighting until the end.

Cheryl Lou Palo passed away peacefully at the family ranch in Newell, SD, on December 17, 2017.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jim Palo; children, Justin Ford, Charlie (Lisa) Ford, Melissa Ford (Steve Netterberg) and Jesse Arends; grandchildren, Brodie Richards, Zara Ford, and Sanden Netterberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Evelyn Cochran; and her brother, Alan Cochran.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD, with Pastor Drew Meyer officiating.
