Christopher Lee "Kelso" Key, 25, Minden, LA, died Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the Christus Shumpert Cancer Center in Shreveport, LA.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon until service time on Monday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Riggs officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.

Christopher was born May 27, 1986, in Spearfish, SD, to Kristi Koistinen and Scott Key. He grew up in the air force in Rapid City, Grand Forks, but called California home. Christopher graduated from Benton High School in Benton, LA, in 2004. He then graduated from Southern University in 2010 with a degree in nursing. Christopher was currently working at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, LA, as a neo-natal nurse. His daughter, Presley, was born March 16th this year, and he wanted nothing more than to be a dad.

Christopher was known as "Kelso" and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a member of the Simple Church in Bossier City, LA. He was an avid skateboarder and enjoyed playing on an indoor football league. He also enjoyed taking fishing trips.

Survivors include his mother, Christi (Roger) Habermann, Sturgis; his father, Scott Key, Brighton, CO; his daughter, Presley Key, Bossier City, LA; and two brothers, Colin Key, Aberdeen, SD, and Nathan Key; grandmothers, Lois Habermann, Freeburg, IL, Marla Koistinen, Madison, WI, and Janice Key, Spearfish; grandfather, Lyle (Yvonne) Koistinen, Sturgis; and great-grandmother, Hazel Koistinen, Sturgis.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Habermann; great-grandfather, Elvin Koistinen; and his great-grandmother, Betty Richard.
