IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher Michael
Mullen
April 7, 2000 – November 12, 2018
Christopher Michael Mullen was born April 7, 2000, in Rapid City, SD, to proud parents Duston and Cindy Mullen and became the youngest of four children. As a young, ambitious, full of life child, Christopher always knew how to light up the room and make people laugh and smile. He was the "wild child" and had no fear of any adventure. Growing up, Chris dabbled in little bit of everything, basketball, t-ball, soccer, wrestling, football, cub scouts, and boy scouts. As a teenager, his big heart led him to volunteer at Camp Friendship, a camp for people with disabilities. He never quite found his niche until he became a teenager and discovered his love for trucks. Chris bought his dad's 1995 Dodge Ram as soon as he could and immediately found a hobby he treasured and excelled at. Amongst his love for trucks, Chris also adored all animals and children, especially his nieces and young cousins. His gentle and tender heart poured a tremendous amount of love into those three things. Chris could not wait to get a job. In his short life, Chris worked many jobs including the City of Rapid, the city of Sturgis, the state of South Dakota, and most recently Nabors Drilling in North Dakota. Chris aspired to join the military and follow in his father's footsteps, whom he was exceptionally proud of for his service.
When Chris was not working on his truck he was hanging out with friends at "the fish" in Rapid, or "the lot" in Sturgis. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling on the razor, mudding, and finding any escapade to fill his day. Chris was confirmed and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis. His addictive smile and generous heart gave him the capability to be the kind of friend, brother, and son that anyone could count on during any time of need; day or night, Chris was someone anyone could call, and he would be there, no questions asked. Chris shared all he had without conditions.
On November 12, 2018, Christopher passed away and was taken home to be with God.
Chris is survived by his parents, Duston and Cindy Mullen; three siblings, Cassie (Steve) Long, Nikki (Dan) Krier, and Jordan (Sadie) Mullen; grandparents, Sandy and Bill Molitor, Linda and Bob Brown, Mike and Nancy Mullen, and Norma Lore; two nieces, Hailey Finn and Parker Krier; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Howard Lore, Jim and Pearl Blakeman, Elanor Mullen, and Orville and Mamie Molitor; and uncles, Jim Molitor and Ryan Mullen.
