Clara was born on April 29, 1926, to William Henry Darg and Lydia Ann (Scott) Darg. Clara had a true pioneer spirit and a deep love of her home in South Dakota. On July 21, 1945, Clara married the love of her life, Charles Sammie Holt.

Clara Murrie Holt, our loving grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2017. Clara was 90 years old.

Clara is survived by 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Clara is preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings: William 'Bill', Charles, Alexander, Andrew, George, Kenneth, Ann (Long), Mable (Hill), Helen (Taylor); her children: Dean, Richard, Gerald; and one great-grandson.

The family would like to thank all of the caregivers from Legacy House Assisted Living and Rocky Mountain Care that have played such an important role in her care for the past 15 years. A special thank you to Spencer (grandson) for being her everything after the passing of all of her children.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Pastor Jim Lassle officiating.
