Clarice Ione Stout, 71, Sturgis, died Sunday September 29, 2013 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. until time of services at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Funeral Chapel with Pastor Denzel Nonhof officiating.
A memorial has been established to the Sturgis Animal Shelter.
Clarice was born January 30, 1942 at Pollock, SD, to Theodore and Addiepearl (Freeman) Geigle. Clarice attended Pollock school and moved to Sturgis with parents.
Clarice married George Stout at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis on September 8, 1973.
She was an active volunteer and was recognized for her many hours to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in the Northern Hills on two occasions. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis. She was an avid collector of dolls and she dearly loved her pets. She also collected stuffed animals. She was a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her sister, Alva Payne, Mobridge, SD; one foster brother, Gary Freeman, Mandan, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother in law, Grover Payne, and foster brother, Charles Freeman.
