IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clifford Travis
Mitchell
July 30, 1954 – April 13, 2012
Clifford Travis Mitchell, 57, of Rapid City, SD, journey in life ended Friday, April 13,
2012 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Cliff was born and raised in Martin SD. After graduation he joined the Army and went into the field of map making and photography, but Cliff's greatest ambition was for the work of the Lord. After coming back to God 7 years ago he put his whole self into reaching out to others, working as an assistance ministry, teaching and preaching the word of God, he held nothing back. He also loved being with his family and doing projects with his grandchildren, the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, hunting, bicycling, or driving through the Black Hills of SD. He enjoyed obedience training his golden retrievers and won several awards with his golden retriever, Colonel when living in Texas.
Cliff was a faithful member of New Life Tabernacle. He enjoyed teaching Adult Sunday School and preaching from God's Word.
Cliff was a man who dared to dream and when he dreamed he would put his whole self into that dream to try and make it work. He loved and cared for his family so very much. Being a grandpa made him as happy as being a daddy to his children. Cliff felt blessed to share his life with his wife and children.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of thirty-eight years, Paula Mitchell of Rapid City; two children, Cliff Mitchell Jr and wife LeeAnn of Indiana and Leasha Smith and husband Darrell, of Massachusetts, five grandchildren, Levi, Lydia, Shelby, Elizabeth, and Iszac and his two sisters Cheryl Hauck and husband David and Debbie Kiewell along with many favorite nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Mitchell and mother Doris Mitchell Taylor and brother, Roger Mitchell.
