Clyde was born, January 3, 1933, at Lowry, SD, to Jacob and Magdelena (Bieber) Hepper. He attended Fuller rural school and later enlisted in the US Army September 10, 1953, and was honorably discharged August 17, 1955. Clyde worked at Ford garage in Gettysburg, SD, for a few years before moving to Sioux Falls, SD. He worked at Mel's Standard Service for a few years and then with DuAll Machinery Co., retiring in 1995 and moving back to Gettysburg. He later moved to the SD Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Clyde Ronald Hepper, 84, Hot Springs, SD, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Clyde is survived by his brothers, Arthur Hepper, Gettysburg, SD, and Donald (Sandra) Hepper, Onida, SD; one sister, Patricia Moore, Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters-in-law, Edith Hepper, Tolstoy, SD, and Thelma Hepper, Gettysburg, SD; and one brother-in-law, Paul Scheller, Sioux Falls, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Magdelena Hepper; brothers, Herbert Hepper, William Hepper, and James Hepper; and sisters, Esther Knecht, Ruth Nagel, Hazel Nagel, and Joyce Scheller.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
