IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Colleen Virginia
Koster
August 2, 1940 – December 6, 2018
Ginger (Conger) Koster was born August 2, 1940, to Bun and Betty Conger. She married Les Koster in 1963 and moved to Piedmont, SD. She worked with her husband, Les, at Buckingham Wood Products until an injury forced her retirement, at which time she opened Ginger's Day Care from their home, running the day care until fully retiring in 2012. One of her highlights was taking care of kids and it truly made her smile. Some of the children Ginger cared for still stayed in contact with her to this day.
Ginger was very active in VFW Auxiliary and was a state color bearer for over 20 years. She and her sisters were the only all sister color bearers in the nation.
Colleen Virginia "Ginger" Koster, 78, Piedmont, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.
She is survived by her son, Troy; three sisters, Ardeth Hunt, Jackie (Bob) Dale, and Angela (John) Ross; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Les; parents, Bun and Betty Conger; brother, Albert Conger; and her oldest sister, Lavonne Clark.
