Corliss "Corky" Jane Besselievre, 93, Rapid City formerly of Sturgis, died, Saturday October 25, 2014 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday October 29, 2014 at Kinkade Funeral Chapel Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday October 30, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis, with Pastor Denzel Nonhof officiating. Burial will follow in Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.

Corky was born August 26, 1921 in South Shore, SD to Ed and Elsa (Lentz) Osberg. She married Paul E. Besselievre on August 7, 1940 in Troy, SD. They lived in Watertown until 1950 when they moved to Lemmon where Corky worked for the Selective Service until they moved to Sturgis in 1953. She worked with her husband Paul at the Black Hills Badlands and Lakes Association. They attended Sports and Travel Shows all over the country. Later she worked for the Bear Butte Insurance Agency owned by her and her late husband Paul.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis, where she also served as deacon, elder and on the Second Century Board. She was a member of the Republican Women, the Meade County Republican's Central Committee and Executive Board, and a member of the P.E.O. Chapter CN. Corky enjoyed playing bridge, golf, working in her immaculately kept yard and garden, and going to Deadwood.

Corky is survived by her two children, Paul E. (Carol) Besselievre Jr, Coarsegold, CA, and Sharon (Bud) Page, Springfield, MO, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Paul, one grandson Mark Besselievre, and two brothers, Lyle and Kermit Osberg.

A memorial has been established to the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.
