Dale Warren Richards passed away on December 29, 2011 at the Close to Home Hospice in Gillette.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Hulett Senior Center at 1:30 p.m. with Paster Larry Kellner officiating.

He was born February 21, 1960 at Coos Bay, OR to Walter and Viva (Fries) Richards.

He also lived in Roseberg and Hillsboro, OR until 1968 when he moved to Hulett with his family at the age of eight. He played football and went on to graduate from Hulett high school with awards in track as well. After graduation, he attended WTI in Laramie where he obtained a degree as a diesel mechanic.

Dale married Jennifer Rae Gean on December 5, 1987. They later separated and he moved to Nevada. While in Nevada, he obtained his first responder certificate while working at the Hycroft Gold Mine.

Dale moved back to Wyoming in 1998 and settled in Moorcroft. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and traveling.

He will be well remembered for his sense of humor, honesty, and friendliness.

Survivors include his mother, Viva Hauber, Moorcroft, WY; his sisters, Mary Hauber, Burke, SD, Linda Griffith, Moorcroft, WY; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter Richards and a step-father, Maurice Hauber.

A memorial has been established to the Hulett Senior Center.
