Dale was born March 31, 1958, in Sturgis, SD, to Marvin J. and Helmi V. (Johnson) Wolff. He grew up in Whitewood and attended school in Whitewood and Sturgis, finally obtaining his GED. Dale spent many years working for the Burlington Northern Railroad in Wyoming. He eventually left his job on a medical discharge.

Dale was a strong, independent individual who had his likes and dislikes. He said he would not judge as there was only One to judge. But he would form and carry strong opinions. Dale loved anything mechanical that had grease on it. He was gifted to fix something broken and make it work again. All that it took was his mind, his hands, and time. Dale thought man's best friend was a dog, and he always had one.

Dale loved the outdoors and hanging out with his friends. A favorite of his was going to Sand Creek camping with his buddies. They called themselves "The Extreme Campers!"

Dale had been known to say "when it's your time, it'll be your time, we never know!"

Dale Marvin Wolff, 59, Whitewood, SD, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2017, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He is survived by his siblings, Vicki Jeffery, Sturgis, Terry Wolff, Newell, Sarah Nelson and Debra (Rick) Heinrich, Whitewood, Sandra Johnson, St. Paul, MN, Linda (Tom) Young, Spearfish, SD, Lloyd Wolff and Mike (Vicki) Wolff, Newell, SD, and Richard (Leah) Wolff, Casper, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Helmi Wolff; an infant sister; and a nephew.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor David Baer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Meadow Cemetery near Roubaix.
