Dana Lee Knaub, was born November 10, 1960 in Deadwood, SD to Hazel and Wilbur Knaub. He went, for a short while, to school in Vale, SD and when that school closed, he went to Newell, graduating from there. In 1970 Dana was burned in trash fire and spent four and a half months in a Galveston, Texas burn center. Dana was married twice, but it didn't work out and he remained single after that. Dana worked in the oil fields for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur; brothers, Douglas and Michael; a baby girl, Ashley; a baby boy, Logan; as well as both sets of grandparents.

Dana is survived by his mother, Hazel Knaub Robertson; step-father; Don Robertson; son, Devin, Iowa; sisters, Lisa (Seth) and Robin, Gillette, WY; and aunt, Becky (Steve) Finn.

Dana Lee Knaub, 64, passed away November 9, 2025 in Clarendon, TX.

Graveside services will be Monday, November 24, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at the Vale Cemetery, Vale, SD.

A memorial has been established to the Vale Cemetery.
