Obituary

Daniel Wayne Davis, 64, of La Farge, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2025. He was born on August 27, 1961, to Roderick and Linda (Triatek) Davis, and grew up in the close-knit farming community of Big Creek.

Daniel was a 1979 graduate of Bangor High School. Immediately following graduation, he entered the forestry industry, where he discovered a lifelong passion. For several years, he owned and operated his own sawmill on the family farm. His skill, creativity, and dedication later led him to design and build sawmills across the country and around the world—work he took great pride in.

On May 21, 1983, Dan married Annette (Schulz) Davis. Together, they shared 25 years of marriage and two children, Christopher and Tracy.
Dan lived life with curiosity, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing guitar, riding UTVs, and scuba diving—recently celebrating his 100th dive. His heart found peace in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where he spent countless cherished hours, and he treasured his vacations to Hawaii. In recent years, he especially enjoyed traveling and sharing new experiences with his fiancée and significant other of 17 years, Connie Bekkum.

Daniel is survived by his children, Chris (Emily) Davis of Mazomanie, WI, and their children Owen and Rhys; Tracy (Adam) Perkins of Tomah, WI, and their children Brantley and Grayson; and Michelle (Don) Jenkins of McHenry, IL; his mother, Linda (Duane) Vetsch of Bangor, WI; his fiancée, Connie Bekkum of La Farge, WI, and her 6 children and 7 grandchildren; his siblings, Tim Davis, Teresa (Jamie) Davis, Michael (Stephanie) Davis, and Christina (Jim) Dippold; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roderick Davis.

Daniel will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his ingenuity, and his ability to connect with people wherever he went. His absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
