Daniel "Dan" William Fogelman, 59, Faith, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at his residence.

Dan was born February 6, 1955, to Glenn and Margaret (Jerman) Fogelman while Glenn was stationed in the military. Location: Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in the Opal and Faith area. Dan started his boyhood in the Chancellor area then later in 1971 moved with the family to Opal in western South Dakota. After graduating from Faith High School in 1973, Dan worked in several different areas usually always doing ranch work, which was always his passion. Then in 1980 was born to him his first son (Joshua William) and in 1981 his second son (Zackery Ryan). The family moved
to North Dakota where Dan worked in the Oil Field and later to Guthrie, OK, where he went to the Oklahoma Horse Shoeing School and started his Ferrier business. While in Oklahoma, he and the family competed in many roping, cutting, and other rodeo events. As the years went by, Dan
moved to Tennessee where he carried on his Ferrier business. In 2006, Dan moved back to the Opal Community and worked with his parents on the ranch where he had moved to as a young man in 1971. After the sale of the family ranch in 2013, Dan moved to Faith, where he had been working on various ranches in the area helping his friends during branding, sorting, and herding cattle. Dan always had a passion for hard work, sitting tall in the saddle, and doing the work off of the back of a strong horse.

Dan is survived by two sons, Joshua (Nedra) Fogelman, Mulhall, OK, and Zackery (Tabitha) Fogelman, Mulhall, OK; father, Glenn Fogelman; two brothers, David (Barbara) Fogelman, Hamilton, TX, and Brian (Cheri) Fogelman, Aledo, TX; sister, Gwen Miller, Sioux Falls, SD; 6 grandchildren, (Joshua's) Maylan, Cody, and (Zackery's) Tyler, Ryan, Hunter, and Kayden.
