Daniel L. Hamilton, passed away on September 13, 2019, at the Fort Meade Community Living Center after a long illness. He was born January 3, 1954 in Riverton, Wyoming, to Onyx P. (Smith) and William Stanley Hamilton.

Dan was an Army Veteran, an artist and a gunsmith. He also worked in mining, logging, oil, construction and trucking. He was a life member of VFW Post 3442, in Custer, South Dakota.

He is survived by his sister, Zaundra N. Hamilton of Green River, Wyoming; niece, Teresa J. Smith (Brian) and great niece, Burke K. Smith of West Jordan, Utah; nephews, Matthew K. Jett and Adam J. Hamilton both of Green River, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, Rob Roy Hamilton.

Cremation has taken place, and placement of ashes and a private memorial service is planned for the spring of 2020 in Custer, South Dakota.
