Daniel Janz, beloved son, brother, father, husband, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend, passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 49.

Daniel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Diane Janz; sister, Jeri Janz; son, Nickolas Magee; grandmother, Alma Janz; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-niece, great-nephews, and cousins, along with countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Richard Janz, and his beloved wife, Katy O'Grady.

Though his time with us was far too short, Daniel leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a lasting place in the hearts of those who loved him. His memory will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered, always.

We will be hosting an open house and lunch on September 12th from 12:00–2:00 PM "Central Time", at Fifth Avenue Community Church, 1800 5th Ave., Council Bluffs Iowa. At 12:00 PM, the pastor will share a short message as we begin our time together.

Following the message, we will have an open house lunch and time to share memories and celebrate Dan's life.
