Darrell Leroy McCawley, 77, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016.
Darrell was born on February 18, 1938 in Seneca, Nebraska to Clifford and Mildred McCawley.
Darrell lost his left hand when he was 19 years old. He overcame his handicap of losing his left hand and became an excellent archery marksman. He was superb at playing the Hammond Chord Organ. He was even asked to audition for the Lawrence Welk Show. He was very knowledgeable in electronics, computer technology, and was a good mechanic.
He is survived by his twin brother, Dale E. (Susan) McCawley; brother, Thomas E. (Linda) McCawley; and nieces and nephews, John, Jamie, Marvie, Marlys, Mike, Linda, Roger, Cathy, TJ, Genia, and Erin.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mildred McCawley, infant brother, Harold, infant sister, JoAnn; brother, Johnny, and sister, Helen.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
