David Elliott Albrecht, 92, Hot Springs, SD passed away May 24, 2026 at the South Dakota Veterans Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 12, 2026 at the State Veterans Home, with visitation one-hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the State Veterans Home Cemetery.

David Elliott Albrecht was born September 25, 1933 to George D. and Hazel D. (Anderson) Albrecht. He was baptized in the Christian Faith and a member of Gethsmany Lutheran Church in North Sioux City. David worked at the patent office after serving in the Army. In 2005 he moved to the state vet’s home and resided there since.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; George A. Jr., Lois and Joan.
