David Bruce Brown was born in St. Louis. Missouri, on August 29, 1969. He passed away at his home in Rapid City, SD, on August 13, 2020.

He lived in many different places growing up including Tacoma WA, Hot Springs SD, Reno NV, Chelsea ME, and Rapid City SD. He graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City in 1988. A dream of his was to attend WyoTech in Laramie WY and did so, graduating in 2006.  He had many jobs throughout his life, but was a mechanic from his teen years until 2017 when he was disabled and could no longer work.

He is survived by his parents, Genie and Ken Reder of Green Valley, AZ, sister Penny Ladner (Mike) of Scottdale, AZ, brother Todd Reder (Kelly) of Dripping Springs, TX, niece Megan Ladner of Sioux Falls, SD, and a nephew Ryder Ladner of Spearfish, SD. He also is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His cats, Garfield and Journey, were a special joy to him and have gone to live on a cousin's farm in Minnesota.

A "Remembrance of David" was held August 18, 2020, at Bible Fellowship Church in Rapid City, SD. He would have enjoyed that evening with many of his old friends and lots of family visiting and telling stories. David became a Christian at the age of 47.

David's ashes were spread near his grandparents graves in Minnekahta Valley Cemetery in the Southern Black Hills.
