David Cletus Jaeger died on August 14, 2025 at the SD State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD after a long illness and complications from kidney disease.

David was born on March 12, 1947 to Cletus and Georgean Jaeger in Bethesda, Maryland. David's father Cletus was in the U.S. Navy and the family lived in various places in the United States.  David's favorite place was Coronado Island, California.  He had many adventures and happy times living there.  David joined the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and served on the carrier USS Independence.

David met and married Patty Hudson.  They worked and raised their family in Rapid City and Deadwood, SD.  They have five children; Joseph, Jackie, Natalie, Kathy and Don.  They also have eight grandchildren; Hannah, Anthony, James, Jackie, Christian, VyToria, Addison and Sadie.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Georgean, and his brothers, Michael and George.

David will be missed greatly.

I want to share guidance on life and reaching eternal salvation with my family, friends, and all beings.  Each day is a gift from God to live each day with happiness, kindness and mostly importantly helping each other on this journey.

Obtaining eternal salvation is the most important goal and each day should be lived fully because it is a precious gift from God; we should life our lives with joy, compassion and assisting one another on this journey.

When the time comes, go to the light, don't be afraid.  You will be protected, your family, pets and all beings.  In this moment of uncertainty and transition, we seek God's light to guide us through the darkness. May we find solace in God's eternal love and divine presence as we face the unknown. Grant us strength and courage to embrace change with hope, knowing that You are the source of all peace. Help us to cherish the bonds we share and to carry forth the lessons learned into the great beyond. In faith and trust and love, cherish every moment.
