David Keith Norris, Sr., 65, of Sturgis, SD, formerly of Omaha, NE, died on February 21, 2023, at Monument Health, Sturgis, SD.

David was born November 23, 1957, to Donald Franklin and Sarah Evelyn (Knight) Norris in New Castle, PA. Following his high school graduation David joined the United States Navy and proudly served from 1980 – 1995. Working as an aircraft mechanic, specializing in helicopters, he served in both Desert Storm and the Gulf War. Due to the excellence of his work David was offered a chance to work with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, as part of their maintenance team.

He was preceded in death his parents; daughter, Dannielle Norris; and brothers, Jeff, Ronnie, and Daniel Norris.

Proud to keep his memory alive are his wife, Kathryn Norris; son, David, Jr. (Dana) and grandchildren, Tyler and Jordyn; nephew, Gavin, legal guardian of grandchildren, Kaedyn and Sebastian; brother, Donald, Jr.; and sisters, Jean and Audrey.

A memorial service, with military honors, will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023, 12:00 noon, at VFW Post 2503, 90 ^th & Military in Omaha, NE.
