Dave was born on November 25, 1930, in Hemingford, Nebraska to Albert Charles and Grace (Watson) Reynolds. The family moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming. When Dave was seven years old and after leasing ranches around the area they bought what became the Circle C Ranch north of Moorcroft.

In 1952, the United States Army said, "We Want You" and he didn't argue, he just went. When he was honorably discharged from the Army in 1954, he returned home and picked up where he left off, ranching, doing carpenter work, and restoring and building houses.

Dave married Dorothy Edwards Connally in 1958. Dorothy had a one-year-old son, Michal, that she brought to the union and together they had two children, Pamela and David Jr. Dave always had a great father/son relationship with Michal. Dorothy passed away and Dave continued ranching.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in January of 1993, Dave married the new love and light of his life, Betty Ellis Amiss Haptonstall at the Circle C Ranch. Together they continued to ranch, it was Dave's passion, and he loved every part of it. He was so dedicated and very successful and happy. Dave's health declined and he had to retire.

Dave and Betty had a great time traveling and visiting friends all over the world. Israel, Ireland, and Jamaica were the most enjoyed, but the three months they spent in Alaska sure could make you a believing fisherman. What fun they had!

He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a wonderful living example to everyone. Dave was always there to help his neighboring ranchers and anyone needing a helping hand.

Dave became a master wood craftsman after retirement. He won many purple rosettes for his beautiful work.

In 2007, Dave broke both hips at the same time. At this time, he and Betty moved into Westhills Retirement Village in Rapid City, SD. They have a great wood working shop, so he was very happy there.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, Rapid City, SD; daughter, Pamela Reynolds, Gillette, WY; son, David Jr. (Misty) Reynolds, Moorcroft, WY; stepson Michal (Julie) Connally (son of Dorothy), Moorcroft, WY; stepson, Edwin Amiss (son of Betty), San Diego, CA; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister-in-law Roberta Reynolds, Moorcroft, WY.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy; brother, Wayne Reynolds; sister, Shirley Percifield; stepdaughter, Cynthia Amiss (Betty's daughter); brother-in-law, Bill Percifield.

Cremation has taken place and at his request no services will be held.
