David Ellwood Woodford, known by his friends and close family as "Woody," lived in Rapid City, SD, when he passed away on January 13, 2020, at 4:08 p.m., due to complications from cancer surgery.
Born July 26, 1948, Woody was 71 years of age at his passing, and is survived by his wife, Samantha Woodford; his children, Aaron Shelley, Mariah Shelley, and David Howarth; and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, John Jr. and Chuck; his sister, Priscilla; and many nieces and nephews.
Woody spent his life fixing things. A machinist by trade for 50 years, Woody always went out of his way to help people with anything, whether they were stranded with car problems, needed help with home repairs, or just needed a good friend to talk to.
Funeral services for Woody will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020, at The Foundry: A Christian Church in Rapid City, SD.
