DeAnn was born January 23, 1962, at Rapid City, SD, to Merle and JoAnn (Bachmeier) Griffee. She graduated from Douglas high school in Box Elder.

DeAnn married Alvin "Stan" Winckler on March 12, 1982, in Bismarck, ND. DeAnn provided child care in her home. Her passion was her children and family. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

DeAnn Kathern Winckler, 50, Casper, WY, died Friday, August 24, 2012. She answered the call of her Lord.

Survivors include her husband, Stan Winckler, Casper; sons, Alex (Brittnay) Winckler and Chris (Jessica) Winckler, all of Casper; one grandson, James Dean Winckler, Casper; five brothers, David Griffee, Rapid City, Dwight (Karlene) Griffee, Sturgis, Dennis (Linda) Griffee, Lake Mills, WI, Donnie Griffee, Rapid City, and Dan Griffee, Box Elder, SD; two sisters, Dorothy Griffee, Rapid City, SD, and Dwyla (George) Martin, Peoria, PA; numerous nieces and nephews; her father-in-law, Alvin Winckler, Rapid City; and sisters-in-law, Betty (Mark) Hunsley, Spearfish, SD, and Patty (Paul) Bachman, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Calvin and Tod Winckler; her parents; brothers, Darwin and Dale Griffee; and mother-in-law, Bonnie Winckler.
