Delbert Boyd, 76, of Sturgis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

He was born May 28, 1935, to Ralph and Minnie (Geuke) Boyd in Redfield, South Dakota.

For 30 years of his life, he worked for Hall Construction.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jeraldine; five daughters, Linda (John) Lewis of Fair Oaks, CA; Diane (Robert) Giesen of Wright, WY; Nan (Keith) Green of Gillette, WY; Jennifer (Kevin) Frasier, and Sharla (Marv) Hayford both of Sturgis; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one due in May; and two sisters, Gladie Tuscher and Elaine Roth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin and Vern Boyd; and one grandson, Joseph Green.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Arnold Kari officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Deadwood.
