Delbert was born November 8, 1954, at Belle Fourche, SD, to Delmar and Jeanette (Walloth) Brink. He was raised at the home place at Fairpoint, SD, and attended country school there. He graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 1973.

Delbert owned and drove trucks for many years. He loved flying, racing, hunting, animals, and camping. He was known as the "dog whisperer."

He owned and operated the pawn shop in Deadwood for several years. He was a good businessman and entrepreneur. He owned several businesses over the years.

Delbert Emo Brink, 62, Sturgis, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

He survived life, including a horrific crash in 2010. He beat the odds and survived. His faith in the Lord saw him through many events. Delbert fought a long, hard struggle with diabetes for over 30 years, but never gave up or complained.

Delbert's greatest passion in life was loving his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. "You will always be loved, Papa."

Survivors include his wife, Robin, Sturgis; son, Justin Brink, Groves City, PA; daughters, Amie Dennison, Rapid City, Kelsi Dennis, Rapid City, and Keisha Dennis, Sturgis; grandchildren, Aisling, Daveon, Rylee, Makai, and Michael, Jr.; siblings, Marlin (Linda) Brink, Fairpoint, Neoma (Karl) Richter, Enning, and Keith Brink, Box Elder; sisters-in-law, Terry Brink, Sturgis and Betty Jo (Chet) Stone, Hermosa; brother-in-law, Les (Lisa) Albertson, Sturgis; special uncle, Daryl Brink, Sturgis; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Maggie, Burkee, and Koda.

Delbert was met in Heaven by his parents; grandparents; his brother, Darwin; his in-laws; and his faithful dog, Shadow.

Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017, at Believers Fellowship Church in Sturgis with Pastor Harold Delbridge officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
