He was born in Rapid City, SD, on November 22, 1931, to Chauncey and Erma (Conklin) Green. Del was married to the love of his life, Garnet Jean Grotrud, on November 23, 1950, in Sturgis, SD. Del moved his family to Superior, AZ, in 1968 where he taught High School. In 1991, Del and Garnet moved to Camp Verde, AZ, where he worked for the Prescott National Forest Service.

Delmar Vincent Green passed on to Heaven July 12, 2011, in Cottonwood, AZ.

He is survived by his wife, Garnet; four children, David (Shari) Green, Gail (Hal) Richardson, Joann Green, and Owen Green; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, with one due on Del's coming birthday; a brother Donald (Colleen) Green, a sister Chauncine (Tom) Clausen.
