DeLores Bachand, age 97, passed away from a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's on October 16, 2025 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living, Sturgis, SD.

DeLores was born in Sturgis, SD on August 13, 1928. She was married to James Navarre "Bud" Bachand for 52 years. She was an active member of the Bear Butte Valley Immaculate Conception Church in her early years and later attended St. Francis Catholic Church in Sturgis, SD. DeLores spent her life devoted to Bud and her children as well as her numerous family members from both Bud's and her side of the family. She was known for her marvelous pies and her love for playing cards including duplicate bridge. Her family remember her as a loving mother with high expectations and a doting and proud grandmother. Her final twelve years of life were spent in the loving care of the Aspen Grove staff who appreciated her for her cheerfulness and gratefulness to all who provided for her needs.

DeLores is survived by her children, Wade Bachand and Yvonne (Stephen) Kissinger, granddaughters, Chelsea (Jeremy) Zeigler and Talia (Dustin) Fulton, and four great grandchildren, Eliotte Fulton, Oscar Fulton, Asher Zeigler, and Drake Zeigler, and her sisters, Emma Draine and Jessie Mann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Bud" Bachand, her son, Lon N. Bachand, her parents, Charles and Irene Limbo, three brothers - Leonard "Bud" Limbo, Wesley Limbo, Ray Limbo, Donald Limbo and one sister, Hannah Pederson.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with a vigil at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis at 11:00 am. Burial will take place Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:30 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery.
