Delores Joan Bogner was born August 6, 1933, to Nicholas A. and Rose F. (Janzing) Bogner in Oelrichs, SD.
Delores went to Chadron Prep High School and graduated. After that, she went to nurse's training school in Rapid City, SD, and in the eastern part of South Dakota.
On June 1, 1957, Delores and Charles Muhm were married in Hot Springs, SD. In 1965, Delores and Charles adopted Deidre Michelle Muhm their daughter. In 1977, their youngest daughter, Delora Michelle Muhm, was born.
She worked at the Fort Meade VA Hospital as a registered nurse for over 31 years. In her free time, she liked to bake homemade cakes and cookies.
Delores Joan Muhm, 85, Sturgis, died November 9, 2018, at her home in Sturgis.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Benjamin Muhm, Sturgis, SD; two daughters, Deidre Michelle (Jack Lee Umbaugh) West, Hendersonville, NC, and Delora Michelle Muhm, Sturgis, SD; two grandsons, Nathan Charles (Emily) West, Ashville, NC, and Daniel Benjamin West, Hendersonville, NC; one great-granddaughter, Laney E. West, Ashville, NC; one brother, Nick Bogner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Kathryn Piper; brother, Eugene Bogner; parents, Nicholas and Rose Bogner, and Infant Muhm.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
