Dennis was born January 29, 1962, in Sturgis, SD. He was the youngest son of Florence (Olson) Moreland. Dennis graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 1980. He attended Vo Tech in Rapid City for auto body and graduated in 1981.

Dennis owned Hinesley Body Shop in Sturgis in the early 1980's. He worked at the Nite Owl Bar from 1979 until 2007. He also worked for Jacobsen Ford from 2008 until 2013.

He married his loving wife, Shaun, in Las Vegas on June 5, 2010. He loved camping and fishing with his wife, Shaun, and his dog, Demon, along with friends. He also enjoyed Nascar, Football, and playing pool. He was also a lifetime member of the Black Hills 4 Wheelers.

Dennis H. Hinesley, 54, Sturgis, died Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Rapid City Regional Hospital with his family and friends by his side.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Shaun, Sturgis; sister, Lorna (Allen) Duprel, Sturgis; brothers, Gary Hinesley, Cheyenne, WY, and Ted (Gail) Hinesley, Bismarck, ND; mother, Florence (Lorren) Moreland, Red Owl, SD; daughters, Jeri Jo, Stephnie (Todd) Connoley, and Vanessa Stettson, Gillette, WY; stepdaughter, Summer (Jake) Carter, Imperial Beach, CA; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Zoey, McKenzie, Alley, Jordan, Demi Jo, Colt, Amelia, Elizabeth, and Anthony; his mother-in-law, Judy Tighe, and brother-in-law, Brad (Anita) Olson, all of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews along with lots of lifetime friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Hinesley.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis, SD, with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
