Dennis "Denny" Donald Iversen, 75, of Black Hawk, SD, died at his home, with his wife by his side, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Denny was born May 20, 1948, in Pierre, SD, son of Donald and Regina Iversen. He grew up on the family ranch at Wendte, SD. He attended school in Wendte through the 8th grade and graduated from Pierre High School in 1966. Dennis then attended Black Hills State prior to enlisting in the Navy, where he served for 8 years.

Denny loved collecting antique car parts and restoring antique cars with his father and brothers. He was a master mechanic at Schwan's in Murdo, SD.

In 2014 Denny purchased the "Water Tower" which he made into his home after extensive construction, which reflects his incredible talent and foresight!

On February 14, 2018, Denny married his dear Sky at Roughlock Falls, SD. He and Sky shared their love of the Black Hills and being outdoors together. Their joy of life included kayaking, 4 wheeling, antiquing, and finding "old things and junk" that they both appreciated, and taking in so many of the beautiful areas of the Black Hills; as well as traveling the western part of the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Regina Iversen.

Denny is survived by his beloved wife, Sky; brothers, Mike (Jeanne) Iversen of Rapid City, SD, Dave (Jill) Iversen of Chino Valley, AZ; sister, Carol Ann (Sid) Pond of Rapid City, SD; daughter, Elizabeth (Ezra) Koch and their children, Aurora and Arlo; and his son, Donald (Chelsea) Iversen and their sons, Gabriel and Liam. Denny will also be missed by nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
