Donald Worth Casteel, 94, Sturgis, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 24, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastors Denzel Nonhof and Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Donald was born on June 22, 1920, to Charles and Luela (Williamson) at Newell, SD. He was raised and lived on the family farm until October of 2008 when he moved into Sturgis. He married Leona Mae Huddleston on January 21, 1946 (68 years), and they raised their seven children on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; sons, Don (Flora Weisz) Casteel, Riverton, WY, Guy (Billye Jo) Casteel, Newell, Jerry (Pat) Casteel, Sturgis, and Doug (Wand) Casteel, Mobile, AL; daughters, Susan Bruce, Frisco, TX, Connie (Michael) Manning, Littleton, CO, Sandy (Tim) Smith, Belle Fourche; grandchildren, Dawn (Ron) McCall, Steve Ellington, Gary Ellington, Cressie Mahaffey, Wanda (Mike) Cooper, Lynn (Josh) Nixon, Kelly (Miranda) Casteel, Krystal Casteel, Ryan (Keri) Casteel, Jason (Brandy) Bruce, Seth (Annie) Bruce, Stephaine (Patrick) Isom, Stacy (Dan) Castro, Lisa Smith, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Delia; sister, Thelma Wetz; and brother, Clarence Casteel.

Memorials have been established to the Vale and Hereford Fire Departments.
