Donald R. Luckie passed away December 22, 2024 at Ft. Meade Hospice care at the age of 83. He was born February 15, 1941 in Deadwood, SD to Robert D. and Cleda B (Shroll) Luckie.

After attending school in Deadwood, he served in the United States Navey aboard the USS Ticonderoga and was honorably discharged.

He is survived by two sisters, Janet (LeRoy) Lanphear of Spearfish, SD and Jean Makley of Deadwood, SD; three sons, one daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters in infancy and a son.

Per his request, there are no services planned. A family inurnment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors.

He lived his life his way, but he had a good heart and he will be missed greatly.
