Donald Marvin Weiss, 81 years, died at his home in Sturgis on Monday, October 9, 2006. Donald was born on July 29, 1925, in a log house on Pine Creek near Maurine, SD, to William and May (Ingalls) Weiss.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, along with their five children -- four daughters and one son. Mary and Paul Hanson of Raymond, WA, Nancy Weiss of Rapid City, SD, Roger Weiss and Kendra on the home ranch near Maurine, SD, Cheryl and Jamie McClain of Sunshine Bible Academy near Miller, SD, and Judy and Mike Manna, missionaries to Kiev, Ukraine. Donald was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Donald is also survived by his brother Albert Weiss and wife Mazy (Maurine, SD), sister Fern and husband Don Patz (Albuquerque, NM), and by his twin sister Doris and husband James Rudesill (Fargo, ND).

Funeral services will be held at the First Wesleyan Church in Sturgis on Tuesday, October 17. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall at the church with internment following at Monument Hill Cemetery near the Ben Ash Monument, Mud Butte.

A memorial has been established to Sunshine Bible Academy and The Gideons International.
