Donna Marie Bowman born December 6, 1950, in Lemmon, South Dakota to Ralph and Katy Huck.  Her and her twin brother David were a pair; the twin bond is real. She always had him to help her with anything. They were raised on the farm until 1963 when they moved to Sturgis.

Donna found the love of her life, Lyle Bowman and they were married on February 20, 1971. They had three children Brenda (Brad), Bryan (Kristie), and BJ (Erin). She loved being a mom. Donna operated the sale barn cafe and later reopened the Boulder Canyon Restaurant. She was proud of what they had done and made many friends there.

When the grandkids started coming, she had a whole new reason to start smiling even bigger. She had a special relationship with each one. She loved making noodles with Trysten, August, Jaiden, and Myles. Helmets for Casey, and dancing in the living room with Katie.  Ice cream trips with Austin and Tyler to playing with the others. She found a way to connect with them all. Then came the great grandkids and her smile got even bigger.  She continued to find different ways to connect with each of them. As Jaiden said "I never had a bad day at grandma and grandpas."  It was always the most loving and warm place ever. Maci playing with the Weeble Wobbles or just hanging out with Kohen (Bean). Her smile grew. Bean would come visit her in the nursing home and they would play with her stuffed animals or just talk about whatever was on Bean's mind.

Donna was proceeded in death by her husband, Lyle; grandsons, Austin and DJ; sister, Tillie; and brothers Johnny, George, and Richard.

She will be greatly missed by her family.  We are proud of our parents as mom and dad, grandparents, and great grandparents. Thank you for showing us all the love and life lessons you taught us.  We love and miss you.

Memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis. A private family burial will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in Spearfish.
