Donna Rae Brien, 85, Deadwood, died Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Mountain View Assisted Living in Sturgis.
Donna was born April 1, 1935, in Frankfort, SD, to Thomas and Dora Herren. She grew up in the Redfield area.
Donna married Lloyd Brien and lived in several places as he was transferred while serving in the US Army. They eventually moved to Deadwood, SD, where they lived for many, many years.
She loved collecting bears, country western music, traveling, and caring for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include beloved sons, Leonard Brien, Deadwood, and Steve Brien, Hulett, WY; grandchildren, Sarah Dosch, Laura Brien, Andrea Foster, James Brien, Jennifer Brien, Margaret Brien, and Dawn Bennett; numerous great-grandchildren, and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; daughter, Sharon Wells; son, Chuck Brien; daughter-in-law, Lou Ann Brien; her siblings; and great-grandson, Seth Brien.
Private family committal services will be Friday, August 21, 2020, at Black Hills National Cemetery.
