Donna was born October 20, 1929, in Sturgis, SD, to Theadore and Sarah (Rogers) Barden. She grew up and attended school in Sturgis. Donna married Victor "Vic" Greenwaldt in Sturgis on August 25, 1948. They lived on a farm near Nisland for a few years and later moved back to Sturgis. Donna worked as a bookkeeper with her husband at the service station he owned.

Donna was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the ELCW. She was a former member of the Extension Club, Zonta, Lions, and the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts and making puppets.

Donna L. Greenwaldt, 87, Sturgis, died Monday, November 7, 2016, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Gail) Greenwaldt, Black Hawk, SD; daughter, Sandy (Walt) Gardner, Raymond, WA; three brothers, Elmer Barden, Spearfish, SD, Francis "Pat" Barden, Belle Fourche, SD, and Roger Barden, Aurora, CO; one sister, Dianna Loup, Whitewood, SD; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vic; and three brothers, Robert, Earl, and Frank Barden.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Willard Olsen officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.
