Donna Jean Lamberton was born December 14, 1936, to Gail and Mae (Jarvis) Lamberton in Sturgis, SD. Donna attended a one room school house until the 8th grade in Pleasant Valley then graduated from Sturgis High School and National College of Business.
Donna married Lloyd Keszler on October 4, 1955. Donna was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandparent. The most important thing to her was her family and her religion. She spent countless hours at sporting events of her sons and grandchildren. Her support and love were obvious; she almost never missed an activity. With all her son's families around the Sturgis area, the calendar remained full of sporting events for her and Lloyd to attend. Donna loved watching her children and grandchildren compete and was everyone's biggest fan.
Donna was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church for 58 years. She volunteered much of her time at church and served God. Living a Christian life was her way. She looked for the best in everyone and remained nonjudgmental throughout her life. Donna was also a member of PEO and enjoyed playing Bridge.
Donna Jean Keszler, 84, of Sturgis, SD, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Monument Health Rapid City hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her family will miss her greatly!
Donna is survived by her husband, Lloyd; sons and their wives, Terry (Barb), Greg (Holly), and Steve (Linda); sister, Arlene Concau; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Gail and Mae; brother, Bill; sisters, Ruth, and Mabel; and a great-grandchild, Cooper Keszler.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD. We request that masks be worn at the visitation and service.
A private family service will be Monday, March 8, 2021.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established to Meals on Wheels and Sturgis High School Athletic Department.
