Donna Evelyn Kruse, 76, Rapid City, died Monday, October 13, 2008, at the Rapid City Hospice House. Following her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at a later date.

Donna was born April 2, 1932, in Deadwood, SD, to Andrew Jackson and Muriel N. (Lints) Webb. She grew up in Deadwood and attended school in Deadwood. She married Henry F. "Stub" Kruse, Jr., in Deadwood on March 6, 1948. They lived in Central City where they raised their four children. They moved to Rapid City in 1964 where Donna has lived since.

Stub was a truck driver and Donna was his "co-pilot." Donna was very proud that she had been in each of the 48 continental states. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved flowers and roses. She enjoyed being with her special dog, "Boy."

Survivors include her husband, Henry F. Kruse, Jr., Fort Meade; two sons, Danny Joe (Kathy) Kruse, Elk Hart, IN, and Edward (Annette) Kruse, Rapid City; two daughters, Susan (Steve) Baker, Rapid City, and Sandy (Henry) Krause, Box Elder; seven grandchildren, Tina, Stephanie, Sheila, Amanda, Ed Jr., Brandy, and Allen; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew Jackson, Joshua, Shawn, Mandy, Samantha, Briana, Silus, and Julie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

A memorial has been established to the Rapid City Hospice House.
