Donna Widner, 69, Sturgis, SD. died Thursday, December 14. 2006. at her residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 17, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

A prayer service with Pastor Gordon Higgins officiating will be held 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be Monday. December 18 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sturgis with Pastor Gordon Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

Donna was born February 16, 1937, at Sturgis, SD. to Harold and Aileen (Chafer) Remington. Donna attended grade school in the Meade School District and graduated from Sturgis High School in 1955. She then attended Business College in Omaha. NE. Donna worked at Bennett Clarkson Hospital in Rapid City where she met Sonny Widner. They were married October 25. 1957, in Sturgis, SD. and to this union three children were born.

Donna worked as a bookkeeper for Dickson Sawmill for eighteen years and also for Arnio Trucking. In her later years, she spent most of her time trucking with Sonny. She loved to go trucking with Sonny every chance she could. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and the Tops Club. Donna was a special lady whose caring, loving heart and gentle soul win be missed, by all who knew her.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law; 2 grandsons; one brother; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sonny Widner, an infant daughter, Margaret; an infant son, Scott; and brother, Dick Remington.

A memorial has been established.
