Dorothy Mae Ramsay, 96, Sturgis, died Friday October 31, 2014 at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care Center.

Committal services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rapid City.

Dorothy was born at Newell, SD, December 14, 1917, to Albert and Josephine (Young) Healey. She grew up and attended school in the Newell/ Vale area.

On April 19, 1946, she married Ora Ramsay at Broadus, MT. They lived in Rapid City until 1950, when they moved to Newell where they farmed until 1975. They moved to the Sturgis area where she lived until her death.

Dorothy enjoyed her friends, going to coffee and out to eat. She enjoyed working in her yard and Daniel O'Donnell; both his looks and his music. She also like working "Find A Word" puzzle books, playing solitaire and watching T.V.

Dorothy loved being a nanny to Renae, Bo and JoDee Fowlkes as well as Paul, Luke and Sam Erfman.

Survivors include her two daughters, Crystal Lambert, Tampa, FL, and Gloria Gantt, Hickory, NC; four grandchildren and four great granddaughters. She is also survived by sisters in law, Thelma Healey, Rapid City, SD, Marge Healey-Sherman, Oregon, Charlene Healey, California; also several nieces and nephews and special friends, Chuck and Ula Fowlkes and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant sons, four brothers and four sisters.
