Dorothy Ann Schwab, 94, passed away in the early morning hours of November 15, 2020. She was the 4th of 16 children born to Jacob and Anna Krank on July 12, 1926, in Sheffield, ND. She married her husband of 70 years, Ralph Schwab in Richardton ND, on February 15, 1949.
Dorothy was a beloved mother of 6, grandmother of 22, and a great-grandmother of 24, with 2 more on the way. She was strong in her faith, and never missed Sunday Mass. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, driving through the Black Hills, visiting Evans Plunge, a full pot of coffee, ice cream from Flintstones Bedrock City, sweet treats, a good game of Pinnochle, a very warm house, and she absolutely loved to go pheasant hunting with her family. The family always knew to never interrupt her as she watched her favorite show, Jeopardy, each night.
Dorothy is survived by a brother, Irvin; three sons, Tim (Jane), Tedd (Lois), and Patrick (Michelle); two daughters, Pearl (Mike), and Annette (Al); as well as 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and 14 siblings, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Yvonne; and granddaughter, Sarah.
Visitation will be 6:30-7:00 p.m., with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Matt Fallgren officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
