Dorothy Augusta Tifft, 98, of Sturgis passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care.
She was born at home in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Augusta March.
She worked as a cook.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Punke) Dempsey, Newcastle; Jim (Cyndi) Dempsey, Sturgis; and Rube Tifft, Edgemont; daughters, Joan Watson, Sturgis; and Carol (Jack) Lee, Sturgis.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tifft.
Cremation has taken place upon her request, and no services are planned at this time. She will be buried at the White Owl Cemetery in White Owl, South Dakota.
