Doug passed away peacefully on April 14th, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Miller, SD May 2nd, 1949. He was the 4th child born to Freda and Cecil Harford.

Doug attended school in Redfield. He worked various jobs including the City of Pierre and Terry Thomas cable.

Doug was in the US Army and proudly served his country from 1968-1970 during the Vietnam War.

Doug enjoyed many things in life especially motorcycling and all of the friends he met along the way. Doug had a quick wit that always made people smile.

Survivors include son, Corey Goeringer of Rapid City; sister, Barb Blaedorn of Redfield; brothers, Crow (Kathy) Harford and Boogs (Denise) Harford of Pierre; grandson, Jace; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Bud.

Proceeding him in death are his parents, Cecil and Freda Harford; brother, Gordon Harford; and brother-in-law, James Blaedorn.

As Doug would have wanted, a Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 pm at the Valley Tap in Ft. Pierre, SD on Saturday, April 22, 2017. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Black Hills National Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank all of the first responders of Pierre and Ft. Pierre, the caring staff at Avera St. Mary's in Pierre, the Rapid City Regional Hospital and all of Doug's friends that have helped out during this difficult time.
