Dwayne Loren Burge, 78, of Sturgis, SD, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield, SD.

He was born November 5, 1942, in Faith, SD, to Loren and Hazel (Capp) Burge. He graduated in 1960, from Faith High School and worked with his father on the family ranch until it was sold in 1961. In December of 1964, Dwayne enlisted in the Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge on June 1, 1965. On August 29, 1965, he married Linda Kenoyer in Sturgis, SD. Dwayne worked for many small appliance repair shops from 1961-1982.  In March of 1982, Dwayne became the owner/operator of Electrical Services which he managed up until he retired.

Dwayne's hobbies include building and racing motorcycles, hunting, and tinkering with anything in the shop.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Burge, Sturgis; son, Matt (Darla) Burge, Sturgis; three grandchildren, Marlee, Jordan, and Hayden Burge, Sturgis; one sister, Barbara (Kenny) Yates, Sturgis.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be 1:30 pm on September 7, 2021, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD.

Committal service will follow at Bear Butte cemetery.

In lieu of flowers plant a tree in Dwayne's honor.
