Earl William Morgan, 58, died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at the Ft. Meade VA Medical Center.
He was born September 30, 1947, at Pearisburg, VA, to Earl and Dorothy (Daly) Morgan. He grew up in Great Falls, MT. After graduating from Marymount Military Academy, Tacoma, WA, in 1964, he enlisted in the US Navy in 1965 and received an honorable discharge.
He returned to Great Falls, MT, and was employed as a body restoration specialist for professional race cars. On October 5, 2002, his beautiful daughter, Michelle Elizabeth Morgan died at an early age with a brain aneurysm. Earl lived in numerous communities including Harper Ferry, WV, before moving to Rapid City in 1979. He was employed with the Mini Mart's as a District Manager for some time.
Earl was recognized for his many involvements with Veteran Activities in our local community and the surrounding areas. Earl will be missed by his volunteer buddies, as well as his loving family and friends.
Earl was a member of American Legion Post #22, 40/8, Paralyzed Veteran Administration, and the Vietnam Veterans.
Survivors include his mother,one sister,one grandson,five aunts,three uncles and numerous cousins.
Earl was preceded in death by his father and daughter.
Graveside services with military honors will be July 7, 2006, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis at 1:00 p.m. with Father Bill Zandri officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers are all Vietnam veterans.
