IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earscelle Columbus
Wilkerson
October 19, 1939 – July 15, 2019
Earscelle Columbus Wilkerson was born October 19, 1939, in St. Petersburg, FL, to Altheir (Langford) Wilkerson and Johnnie L. Wilkerson.
As a child, Earscelle and his family moved to the Bronx, NY, where he grew up and received his formal education.
As a young adult, Earscelle moved to New England where he completed all of his undergraduate and graduate studies. He received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Lowell State College and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Clark University. Earscelle then went on to receive a Juris Doctor Degree in 1989 from The New England School of Law in Boston, MA. He had drive - stopping at nothing to learn all he could to better his life and the lives of all those around him.
In his professional life, he was a U.S. Marine, an Educator and School Psychologist, as well as a Philanthropist. He embraced altruism and dedicated his time to any cause he believed in. The majority of Earscelle's professional career was spent in New England, where he also raised his family.
His later career and retirement was spent in Florida and Georgia. It was during this time that he also assisted his oldest step-daughter and her family. His joy could always be seen as he worked to help others and spend time with family.
He returned to New England for a short period of time before moving to the Black Hills of South Dakota with his youngest daughter, Angela, where he spent his final years.
Earscelle, 79, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade, SD.
He leaves behind one son, E. Earscelle Wilkerson (NH); three daughters, Alexis Wilkerson (NY), Erin (Wilkerson) Rodrigue (NH), and Angela Wilkerson (SD); two step-daughters, Tracey (Aguiar) Quezada (FL), and Tara Aguiar (NH); and over a dozen grandchildren. There are too many cousins, friends, and other relatives to list.
Earscelle touched so many people while he was here. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a mentor, a man of faith, and a friend.
The world is a better place for having been blessed with you! Thank you! We miss you! We Love You Always!
